Sorry Jay but you do have power. You read that post and YOU made the decision to publish it. And you are responsible – morally and legally – for the outcome. Trying to wriggle out of it won’t work, sorry. I have no sympathy – given that you yourself are involved in this matter as I see you are no longer a finalist, you can’t suddenly hold your hands up and pretend to be impartial. If that was really the case why did YOU decide to publish this one? Why not someone else who could be objective? I think you are as much of a bully as the author of that post and it makes some of your recent posts ring VERY hollow indeed.

It is worth remembering that as the publisher of that post you would be the defendant in any libel action. And you may know that English law requires you to prove that the allegations the post on your site made are true. I certainly hope you took some steps to ensure you had proof before publishing that post.
